The offspring from this pair should be interesting because there's the possibility of: 1. Gold Marble Angelfish, 2. Koi Angelfish, 3. Clown Angelfish, 4. Blushing Clown Angelfish, 5. Albino Angelfish, 6. Blushing Albino Angelfish plus all of the above with the Pearlscale trait.
This year I also purchased and raised some small Koi Angelfish. I paired a female Koi Angelfish up with a male Koi Angelfish from another breeding line, and I'm starting to get some Koi Angelfish offspring now. Here's some photos of the Koi Angelfish pair and of their offspring:
The Black Lace Veil Combtail Angelfish offspring also turned out quite nice, and I'm holding back 18 individuals to select future breeding stock from. Here's some photos of the Black Lace Veil Combtail Angelfish I bred and raised this year:
This fish is often sold as a Peruvian Altum, however, according to Angelfish experts, this is just the Peruvian variation of the common Silver Angelfish, Pterophyllum scalare.
About a month ago I purchased a pair of Blue Angelfish which are beginning to show signs of mating activity:
In addition to the hints of blue, I really like the fiery red/orange eyes and the black vertical stripes on the white bodies of these fish!
For the remainder of this year and next year I plan to continue my fish breeding, focusing exclusively on Angelfish. I'll soon start to cycle my Green Tree Pythons and Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boas, and I expect next year will bring better snake breeding results because both of my mature female Green Tree Pythons should lay eggs. I may or may not be successful with the Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boas because both the male and female have some handicaps which may relate to breeding success - the male has a kink just below the cloaca and the female has an enlarged colon. I'm also hopeful that next year I'll be able to get some baby Mali Uros in addition to the Saharan Uromastyx I've been producing in the past.

It's spring 2010, and this promises to be another interesting year for me. My breeding projects for this year are more balanced between fish and reptiles than in previous years.
Starting in mid 2009, I began looking for few young Angelfish to raise up for breeding stock. I already had a mature female Albino Pearlscale Angelfish, and I was soon able to raise up two Koi Angelfish and two Black Lace Veil Combtail Angelfish. The Black Lace Veil Combtail Angelfish turned out to be a pair, and the Koi Angelfish turned out to be two males.
On February 13, 2010, I got my first spawn of Angelfish eggs from one of my male Koi Angels and my female Albino Pearlscale:
The offspring phenotypes from this pairing turned out to be quite interesting: 50% Silver Clowns and 50% Gold Marble. The offspring genotypes are also equally interesting: 100% het for albino, 100% het for blushing and 100% het for pearlscale. I'm holding back 30 Silver Clowns and 30 Gold Marbles from this clutch for future breeders.
My reptile breeding for 2010 began with clutches from my two pairs of Yellow Saharan Uromastyx on March 5, 2010 and on April 1, 2010. A clutch of Uromastyx dispar dispar eggs is still "in the works".
